You can book your appointment online by choosing the "Book Online" menu on this website.

Payment is processed at the time of your online booking. All major credit and debit cards are accepted.

No, you do not need a referral from your doctor to attend counselling sessions.

Unfortunately at this time Medicare does not cover the cost of counselling services.

Current wait times are only about a week, however if you need an urgent appointment I am happy to fit you in as soon as I can.

This will be different for every client, it depends greatly on your situation. You can decide the number and frequency of counselling sessions based on your needs. Some situations may only require one or two sessions to address, however more complex issues might take months or even years to resolve. In most cases, clients attend weekly or fortnightly appointments for a minimum of two to three months.

You can change or cancel your appointment up to 24 hours before your appointment time. A full refund will be provided for appointments cancelled with 24 hours (or more) notice. For appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, a 50% refund will be provided.

Yes! I have a purpose-built counselling room at my home in Jilliby, NSW.

Before your first session, you will be asked to fill out a brief intake form to provide some background information and to help Sophie understand your reasons for seeking counselling.
On the day of your appointment, arrive 10 mins before your appointment time to allow time for parking and to settle in so that we can start on time.

Yes, of course. You can stay in the comfort of your own home while we connect via zoom. I send you the zoom link prior to our appointment.

Firstly, make sure you have a device that can receive zoom calls with both video and voice functions working. Secondly, reliable wifi is important to ensure our session is not interrupted. It is also important to ensure you are in a safe, private and comfortable space free from distractions and interruptions. You may like to bring a hot drink with you or some water, some tissues and a notepad and pen.

A Walk & Talk counselling session begins at an agreed location. We meet at an organised time and then we walk together as we talk. If there's a bench seat and you'd like to stop and talk for a while, we can do that too. You set the pace!

Make sure you are wearing comfortable clothes and some walking shoes. It is a good idea to bring some water with you to stay hydrated, and perhaps a hat for sun protection.
Arrive at our predetermined location 10 mins before your appointment time to ensure that we have time to park our cars, find each other and start your appointment on time.
